New Lanark Wool

I now work almost exclusively in a range of locally produced pure new wool from New Lanark.

New Lanark is an 18th century cotton mill and village and is a World Heritage Site.  The restored mill now produces a beautiful range of natural coloured and dyed wools.

You can find out more about the mill here.

This is Tartan Green, used in my Christmas stockings and Christmas cushion and for leaf decoration.  The colour shown in this photo (from the New Lanark website) is nearer to its true colour than in the photos of my finished work.
